Citing the potential of satellite-based broadband service, Reliance Jio has announced to launch its own satellite internet service in India to take on Elon Musk’s Starlink project. The Indian telecom giant recently partnered with Luxembourg-based telecom company SES, in which it acquired 51% of the equity share to become an anchor customer of the joint venture and bring satellite-based broadband service in India. So Kinect Sports Rivals has been pushed back to spring 2014 and will no longer be a launch title for the Xbox One I hear you say? Wrong. Well, kind of wrong. Polygon shed some light on the subject today. It appears to have been announced that one of the six sporting activities featured in Kinect Sports Rivals will be available for free on Day One. Referred to as a ‘Preseason’ pack, the free trial experience will be available on November 22nd, the Xbox One’s launch date, and will allow gamers to try out the Wake Racing game....

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale, a brand new XCOM-like tactical RPG, has managed to pass its $150,948 Kickstarter goal today with six days left of the campaign. The game is being developed by NeocoreGames, known for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing action RPG series. With full funding reached, NeocoreGames is planning to add new features, including a new playable class and a PvP mode as well as preparing to launch it in Steam Early Access in the coming weeks....

Velan Studios has released patch 1.2 in Knockout City, addressing a plethora of issues that were plaguing the game. Since the game is fairly new, different bugs have surfaced in the past few weeks, ultimately leading to a frustrating gaming experience. However, as promised by Velan Studios earlier, most of them have been fixed with patch 1.2. The highlights of the patch are the fixing of the loading screen error and server issues....

If a series of rather reliable industry rumors are to be believed, there’s a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake in the works. And if there’s a KOTOR remake in the works, there’s just cause to ponder how such a monumental project can prove successful not just commercially but in the hearts and minds of long-time fans as well. The latest update to the Xbox One Software Development Kit is apparently helping developers achieve higher resolutions on the console. According to recent developments out of Konami as they ready Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 for the Xbox One, in which they say the annual soccer title will hit 1080p at launch. Adam Bhatti said via Twitter, “We got there thankfully, Xbox One PES 2016 will be 1080p.” While Bhatti doesn’t say in his tweets what led to this resolution jump, an interview from earlier this summer on Gamekyo via GameRevolution may hold the clues....
