Reports this morning suggest that Microsoft is giving away the full version of Killer Instinct, the free-to-play title on the Xbox One, to select Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Emails going out to these subscribers thank them for their “dedication to Xbox” and that they would be receiving the full version of the game on November 22nd. The first reports of the promotion come from NeoGAF, where a couple of members claim to have gotten the email....

A recent trademark filing suggests that Microsoft has an unannounced game in the works. Microsoft recently filed the trademark application with the United States Trademark Office, seeking a mark for “Gunpowder”. The trademark was filed on January 15th, but Microsoft has yet to announce any new game that could be linked to the filing. The reception Ghost Recon Frontline received upon its announcement was predictable. The latest entry in the gritty franchise about espionage and covert military ops was pitched as a large-scale multiplayer PvP game with heavy hints of battle royale.
