Elden Ring has been extremely successful by every metric, but FromSoftware isn’t known for offering much DLC for their titles regardless of their success. Games in the past like Sekiro didn’t get any DLC, even though it is a fan-favorite to this day. But it seems Elden Ring might be stepping away from that trend, as it might end up receiving some sizable new content in the form of DLC after all if some leaks are to be believed.

FromSoftware is, of course, very tight-lipped about such matters, but something they can’t hide is the game’s files. Some new files have been added to the game after the recent 1.07 update that came out last month, suggesting that some new content will be making it to Elden Ring, which is quite possibly DLC.

Elden Ring DLC New Content

Sekirodubi, a dataminer, has been digging into the game’s files, possibly with the hope of no longer being maidenless. Maiden or not, he has struck gold by finding some update files that have the following references:

  • New hair cosmetics
  • Six new weapons
  • A new arena map called Colosseum
  • Up to 30 new bosses
  • 16 NPC/Boss entries called “Someone yet unseen”

All the new content mentioned above that might be making it to Elden Ring as DLC is unexpected, with the exception of the Colosseum. Fans have been theorizing that the various Colosseum-like structures in the lands between aren’t currently usable, but might be in the future, and that could quite possibly be the case.

Talking about the possibility of the 30 new bosses, Sekirodubi said that it is very unlikely that all 30 spots are for bosses. We don’t know when (or if) such an announcement will take place, but if it does, the Game Awards is probably the best place to reveal such DLC for Elden Ring if it is indeed true.
