In our coverage of the last trailer, we noted that the upcoming game would take place in the Lental region of Pokémon. Fans can expect to track Pokémon across a vast landscape of diverse biomes, including jungles, beaches, deserts, and even underwater. While the last trailer was relatively tight-lipped, this latest look gives players a few features to be excited about.

Much like the original game, players will travel along a rail-roaded path while taking pictures of wild Pokémon. New Pokémon Snap will also hail the appearance of the Fluffruit, which looks suspiciously like an apple. It distracts or coaxes out shy Pokémon during your journey. Players will also have access to an Illumina orb which highlights Pokémon and makes them glow for night-time shots.

Professor Mirror will rate your work on a one-star to four-star scale, and players will be able to edit their photos with blur, brightness, and zoom level. Also, an enticing array of stickers and frames will be available to players to decorate their favorite moments.

Most excitingly, photographers will be able to take their work online, where they can be rated by their fellow players. The best photos will receive many points in this system and will even have a chance to be featured on the main page for even more views. This will put all of the players’ skills to the test; not only will the perfect shot be integral to success, but crafty editing is needed as well.
