Lady Gaga is one of Hollywood’s biggest award darlings. The iconic singer and actress just scored another Oscar nomination. This time, it’s for Best Original Song for Hold My Hand from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack. Hold My Hand came out early last year and was written by Lady Gaga and BloodPop. Not only did Lady Gaga Score an Oscar nomination this morning, but she has cause to celebrate before it’s her 4th nomination. She, of course, has won one for Best Original Song for Shallow from A Star Is Born.

Lady Gaga has some competition for this award. Also in the category is Lift Me Up, performed by Rihanna from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. This is in addition to Applause from Tell It Like A Woman, Naatu Naatu from RRR, and This Is A Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once. But, of course, the Oscar for Best Original Song goes to the songwriters unless the singer contributed to the lyrics or music.

The Best Original Song Oscar winner will be announced on March 12th on ABC along with the rest of the categories.

Lady Gaga Scoring Another Oscar Nomination

In addition to Lady Gaga scoring an Oscar nomination for Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, the singer has kept pretty quiet. According to people close to Lady Gaga, she is putting her all into her role in The Joker 2. She wants to be the best she can, so she’s not engaging in social media, not going out, and keeping an overall low profile. Hopefully, all this hard work will pay off, and Lady Gaga will score another acting Oscar nomination for her role in The Joker 2.

In music news for the singer, Lady Gaga’s 11-year-old song, Bloody Mary, is an official single as her record label sent it to radio. First, the song blew up on social media thanks to people doing the Wednesday dance to it. Then, Netflix used it in the announcement for Wednesday season 2. Now, the song is climbing the charts without any real promotion besides being on the radio.
