Are you still farming those Super Rare Dens as well as Deviants and Elder Dragons eggs? Good, your party better be up to snuff because the second free 1.2.0 Title Update for Monster Hunter Stories 2 is coming this weekend on August 5. After the cute dog Palamute, the terrifying duo of Boltreaver Astalos and Hellblade Glavenus will be available as Monsties. Meanwhile, the Mother Goddess of Gold Kulve Taroth also comes to Monster Hunter Stories 2 as a Co-Op Quest exclusive boss raid.

Just like in Monster Hunter: World, you can get special materials from fighting Kulve Taroth, which can be used to forge powerful equipment. And as you might’ve expected, the golden-clad Elder Dragon will not be available as a Monstie. Here’s a snippet of the Co-Op Quest description:

Slay all of the target monsters within 30 minutes. Rewards will differ depending on the time required to complete the quest.

Break the parts of metal-covered Kulve Taroth to reveal its true form. Even though it will flee from battle one time, a fearsome foe awaits the Rider who dares to pursue it again. Kulve Taroth—the monster that first appeared in Monster Hunter: World—comes to Stories 2, featuring its unique characteristics!

Including the Kulve Taroth Co-Op Quest, in total, there are four new quests added with Monster Hunter Stories 2 1.2.0 Title Update on August 5:

  • Co-Op ★8:(Time) The Goddess of Gold
  • Co-Op ★8:(Explore) Thunder Egg
  • Co-Op ★8:(Explore) Fire Egg
  • Delivery ★4:(Special) Dealin’ for Dunkers

Seven other quests will be added a bit later on August 19:

  • Co-Op ★9:(Slay) Hellblade Glavenus
  • Co-Op ★8:(Turn) Glavenus
  • Subquest ★8: Psychoblaze Black Knight
  • Delivery ★8:(Special) Tantalizing Toe Beans
  • Co-Op ★9:(Slay) Boltreaver Astalos
  • Co-Op ★8:(Turn) Astalos
  • Subquest ★8: Lightning Revolt
