Fornite on Nintendo Switch is closer than ever to being real ahead of a potential E3 announcement.
Korea’s Game Classification Decision body, which provides ratings for video games coming out in the country, posted a listing for the game this morning.
The listing doesn’t give any details about a release or announcement date, but it’s the closest to an official confirmation that has come so far for the title.
A different source, however, could have revealed when we will see an official announcement for the game. Fortnite was listed as coming to Nintendo Switch on an alleged leaked E3 presentation document. It was listed alongside the popular Bandai Namco fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ, Paladins, Overcooked 2, and FIFA 19.
The leak came from 4chan, which would mean it should be taken with a pinch of salt. But since that leak, Kotaku and Destructoid have both reported that the leak is in line with rumors they have heard in the run up to E3.
On both the GRAC listing and the E3 leak, the game is just listed as Fortnite. It’s unknown at this point if the game will feature both the incredibly popular Battle Royale mode and the Save the World PvE mode.
Back in January Epic Games creative director Donald Mustard said he was hopeful Fortnite would come to Switch “at some point”—but so far that’s been the only official word about the potential port.
Fortnite is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS devices, leaving Android and Switch as the only two major platforms without access to the game.
