The fun and exciting “dodgebrawl” game Knockout City has officially become a free-to-play game, according to developers Velan Studios. Initially released in May 2021 under the EA Originals label, but as you might know, Velan Studios took over publishing duties earlier in the year. Velan has decided to make the game a free-to-play title and will begin the transition with the release of the new Season 6.
So, as of today, the free version of Knockout City and Season 6: City of Tomorrow is now available to fans of the series, and with it comes a whole host of new things to get your blood pumping. Things that will be included are a new Boomerang Ball across multiple playlists, the Starfruit Special energy drink, the sci-flyer crew vehicle, a permanent new career contract, a heavily expanded hideout area, several improvements to the map, and much more. What Else to Expect in Knockout City Season 6?
Knockout City Season 6 will also include new themed cosmetics and a free and premium battle bass that players can take advantage of. You might be wondering what these passes include; well, the paid tier is looking to offer new outfits, different poses (we do love a good pose), more trophies, and a mass amount of “Holobux,” which will aid you when the next season comes available.
There is something else that might excite you as well because the free version includes a special Among Us crossover, and with it, unlocks the “Note 2 Self” Legendary Glasses, “Mini Crewmate” Legendary Hairstyle, “In Electrical!” Legendary Defeat Pose, and “Emergency Meeting!” Legendary Taunt. There are many things to get your teeth into, and fans can be assured of that.
Knockout City’s new free-to-play version can be downloaded for PC via Steam. It is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch. And more thing of note as well, Velan has assured players that due to the games switching to a free-to-play, you won’t any of the console’s subscription-based platforms in order to play the game.
