Marvel has released a special first look at the upcoming second issue of Knights of X. The issue sees Captain Britain and her trusty mutants on an unexpected quest. While they may not have prepared for such a mission, it may save Otherworld. Tini Howard and Robert Quinn take this band of mutants on quite the journey when issue 2 drops on June 1st.
What Can We Expect From Knights of X #2?
The Knights of X series kicked off earlier this week with issue #1. The series from writer Tini Howard and artist Robert Quinn focuses on Betsy Braddock’s Captain Britain and Otherworld. Merlyn has seized control of the Lunatic Citadel and is hunting down any “witchbreed” in Otherworld. Because of this, Braddock is Otherworld’s only chance to put an end to this reign of terror.
Now, Betsy recruited a team of mutants to help her stop Merlyn and his right-hand-man King Arthur from destroying Otherworld. These Knights of X must seek out the holy grail of mutankind in order to restore order. However, the mutants find themselves sidetracked when Merlyn attacks the only safe haven for Otherworld’s mutants. This attack splits the Knights with Gambit leading a charge into what is most likely a trap. Meanwhile, Betsy continues to seek out the holy grail.
What Does This Special First Look Show?
Marvel’s first look at the second issue of the series highlights Quinn’s amazing artwork for the series. In the sneak peek, Merlyn confronts his daughter, Lady Roma, who initially gave Betsy some advice. Another page shows Betsy and Rachel Summers intervening as Kyle and Mordred come to blows. All while the other Knights look on. Viewers also get a look at Gambit, Meggan, and Bei investigating a tavern. Plus, a massive battle seems to take place somewhere in Otherworld.
Knights of X #2 looks to keep the action going as the race to find the holy grail continues.
