Kirby’s Dream Buffet Trailer and Release

Kirby’s Dream Buffet will officially launch in Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch sometime in summer 2022. Kirby’s Dream Buffet finds several Kirby’s rolling through a smorgasbord of food-themed stages in four multiplayer rounds, with a similar style to the popular party game Fall Guys.

Players will need to race each other through delicious obstacle courses to collect strawberries as the Kirby’s grow bigger and bigger, bumping other players off the stage and using several familiar Copy Abilities – or, in this instance, Copy Food Abilities, – to take down their competition!

The official synopsis reads:

“Roll through a smorgasbord of food-themed stages in 4 rounds of 4-player* fun as Kirby…who seems rounder than usual? Race through delicious obstacle courses to collect strawberries as Kirby grows. Then, turn the tides in the final round—a fruity fight atop a floating platform.

– Roll through delicious, food-themed obstacle courses in 4-player matches

– Collect strawberries to grow bigger and prepare for the final battle”

Kirby’s Dream Buffet will be the second Kirby game released for Nintendo Switch this year, following the monumental success of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which launched back in March. This is likely one of the projects Nintendo promised to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary.

It is also the latest spin-off in the series. The Switch currently has two other Kirby spin-offs available, including Super Kirby Clash and Kirby Fighters 2, which were released in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
