Video games are something that families, for years upon years, will forever bond over. Nintendo is known for being just that, a creator of amazing family games. Tonight, at the Game Awards, Kirby and the Forgotten Land won Family Game of the year. This game was just released this past February, and it has already been an excellent game for its players and all the Kirby fans that have played it. It deserves its win tonight. It really does.

About Kirby and the Forgotten Land

In this Kirby game, it’s time to dive into an all-new adventure…one where you are the most adorable pink puffball ever known as Kirby. These stages and levels in the game are all 3D, where you will discover a beautiful…but abandoned world…even a shopping mall apparently! Kirby is able to do everything that he normally is, including inhaling everything he wants. He can easily transform into Mouthful Mode! You can use your boxy-shaped body to shoot out cans at enemies, which is a new move we haven’t really seen before.

This Kirby game also supports a co-op mode where you can pass a joy-con to a buddy on the couch, and they will play as Bandana Waddle Dee right along side you. You both can then explore and battle through this world together. You can float over many obstacles and fight enemies until you complete the stage’s goal. You can do countless of things with Kirby’s copy abilities. This game is available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch and is a great game to play with your family…especially with the holidays just around the corner. Kirby and the Forgotten Land makes the perfect gift, and tonight it has earned its Family Game of the year win. Get it today from the eShop and begin being the cutest puffy pink guy!
