Thanks to Open Critic, we learn that Kingdom Hearts III review embargo lifts off on Thursday, January 24 at 4pm CET (US Eastern 10am, US Mountain 08am, US Pacific 07am).

So, this is going to be the precise day and hour when we’re finally learn everything we need to know about the latest and much anticipated chapter of the series.

Interestingly, guys over ResetEra have gathered all the previous games in the franchise’s metascores, so we can get an idea of how well received the main titles in the saga are.

Other games, mostly spin-offs for other platforms (which were later ported on consoles via several compilations and remasters) were less well received but they’re not too bad, too:

  • Kingdom Hearts (2002): 85
  • Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (2004): 76
  • Kingdom Hearts 2 (2006): 87
  • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (2009): 75
  • Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (2010): 82
  • Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (2012): 75

Kingdom Hearts III is releasing on January 29 in the western territories, while it’s coming slightly earlier, on January 25, in Japan.

The game’s coming on PS4 and for the first time ever on Xbox One, and if you’re interested you can look over here to learn how many worlds are included.
