Kiernan Shipka is possibly best known for her role in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018), where she plays the protagonist and teenage half-witch Sabrina Spellman, who lives with her aunts Hilda (Lucy Davis) and Zelda Spellman (Miranda Otto) in the small town of Greendale. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, marketed as a “dark coming-of-age story,” is a dark twist on the Archie comic books character of the same name; originally, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was first released on the CW as a companion to Riverdale (2017), but the series was later given a straight-to-series order by Netflix, though two Riverdale crossover episodes have taken place in accordance with the comic books.
Aside from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Kiernan Shipka has most recently appeared as Lou Simms in Swimming with Sharks (2022), as well as the voice of Allie in Treat (2021). She has also starred as B. D. Merrill/B. D. Hyman in Feud (2017) and Sally Draper in Mad Men between 2007 and 2015.
What We Know About Kiernan Shipka and ‘Red One’
Red One is the latest brainchild of director Jake Kasdan, known for the success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), both of which starred Dwayne Johnson. Johnson and Kasdan will be reuniting with Jumanji’s Seven Bucks Productions for Red One; additionally, the film is set to be written by Fast & Furious scriptwriter Chris Morgan.
