In a recent IG post, rapper/actor Kid Cudi premiered a first look at his latest project Entergalactic, a Netflix animated series three years in the making. Entergalactic was created by Ian Edelman, whose past work includes the HBO series How To Make It In America, in which Cudi also starred. The animated drama series is produced by Kenya Barris and depicts the journey of Scott Mescudi’s path to discover love.
Entergalactic Is A First For Kid Cudi
Kid Cudi initially announced Entergalactic three years ago and promised fans that the series would be accompanied by a full-length studio album of the same name. The album will also provide the soundtrack to the show, which the rapper recommends you only play after binging all six episodes.
Kid Cudi has built a lot of hype around Entergalactic on social media and has been teasing fans throughout the project’s development through a series of tweets:

The rapper/actor is also a writer on the project, making it the first animation and television series Cudi has ever written. He’s declared Entergalactic the “greatest piece of art” he’s ever made.
Entergalactic Is Executive Produced By Kenya Barris
The Netflix original animated series is backed by director Kenya Barris‘ production company Khalabo Ink Society, whose portfolio includes Cheaper By The Dozen (2022), Shaft (2019), Mixed-ish (2019), and the newly announced White Men Can’t Jump. Entergalactic will also be a first for Barris; it’s the first adult animated series produced by the Black-ish director.
Entergalactic is one of a few pending projects Barris produced for Netflix. Another is the anticipated comedy You People, which he co-wrote with star Jonah Hill. Although there’s no news yet about a release date or who will play the love interest opposite Kid Cudi in Entergalactic, the artist’s relentless enthusiasm certainly has fans hopeful for things to come.
