Khloe Kardashian and her ex Tristan Thompson were secretly engaged before paternity lawsuit. In a new and surprising revelation, the reality star revealed that her ex had gotten engaged nine months before his paternity scandal broke out.
Khloe and Tristan, were dating on and off for five years, before news broke out that he had impregnated another lady.
Were Khloe Kardashian And Tristan Secretly Engaged?
Khloe, 38, recently revealed that she and Tristan were privately engaged for nine months before their 2021 split. She made the shocking revelation during the Thursday, September 28 episode of The Kardashians.
The Revenge Body host also revealed that although the NBA star initially in December 2019, she had turned him down. “I said I need to make sure this is a totally different relationship because I want to be proud to say I am engaged to anyone,” Khloé explained to her sister Kim Kardashian about the reason she did not accept the proposal.
“That is why I said, ‘I am not comfortable accepting this because I am not excited to tell my family.’ And as hurtful as it was for him to hear it was the truth. I would never accept something and give someone false hope.”
However, a source revealed that Khloé accepted Tristan’s second proposal in February 2021.
What Was Khloe And Tristan’s Relationship Like?
Per Us Weekly, Khloe and Tristan started dating in September 2016. One year later, the former couple announced that they were expecting a child together. Days before the birth of their daughter True, in April 2018, Thompson was caught cheating with multiple women.
Although the pair initially stayed together throughout the scandal, they broke up in February 2019. However, the two rekindled their romance during the coronavirus lockdown, but split again the following June. In late 2021, the duo gave their relationship one last try before calling it quits.
In December 2021, Khloe discovered that the Boston Celtics player had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols, one week after she conceived her second child with him via surrogacy. Nichols gave birth to her son Theo in December 2021, and Tristan later confirmed that he had fathered the child. Before Tristan’s confirmation, the whole paternity lawsuit saga made news headlines.
