Kathryn Dennis Is Leaving Southern Charm
Southern Charm‘s Kathryn Dennis is one of the OG’s on the Bravo show alongside Shep Rose and Craig Conover. The 31-year-old joined the series in 2013, and fans watched as she became a mother of two children.
However, Deadline reported on January 10 that she would only be a “guest star” in the upcoming ninth season. There were speculations from fans, too, on whether the TV personality’s time was winding up when she missed out on many activities on the show.
Kathryn skipped both cast trips last season and did not get much screen time until the reunion. In response, the writer announced her plans for the next chapter of her life.
“What a wild ride it’s been!” Kathryn told Page Six on Wednesday, adding:
Kathryn mentioned that she was grateful for the good and bad moments captured on camera. She also thanked her fans who stood by her side throughout her journey.
The model continued, saying:
“In the decade that followed, it’s safe to say my life changed in ways I could never imagine.”
However, Kathryn made it clear she was done with Southern Charm.

A source told The US Sun that producers reportedly grew weary of Kathryn’s consistent “no-shows” and her behavior while filming.

Hence, Kathryn’s contract was not renewed for a new season.
Kathryn was introduced to the show when she was just 21 amid her tumultuous relationship with politician Thomas Ravenel. The duo shares two children, daughter Kensington” Kensie,” 8, and son St. Julien “Saint,” 7.
Besides Kathryn, sources also revealed that Naomie Olindo would not be returning. However, Craig Conover, Shep Rose, Austen Kroll, Madison LeCroy, Venita Aspen, and Leva Bonaparte will be back, according to insiders.
Other former cast members whose return is uncertain are Taylor Ann Green, Marcie Hobbs, Kathryn’s ex-boyfriend Chleb Ravenell and Olivia Flowers. They were all Season 8 full-time cast members, but it is unsure if they will film again.
Fans will miss Kathryn’s drama on the show after she was a staple on Southern Charm for ten years. However, like many other things that people outgrow, it is time for her to move on. Hopefully, the Bravolebrity finds a safe landing for her feet.
