It comes down from Succession team Will Tracy, Frank Rich, and The Queen director Stephen Frears. Tracy will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Frears directs, and executive produces, with Rich executive producing too.
The Kate Winslet HBO series The Palace goes inside the walls of a palace under an authoritarian regime that starts to crumble. It will be written by The Onion and former Late Night with Seth Meyers scribe Seth Reiss, Juli Weiner (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver), Jen Spyra (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), Gary Shteyngart (The Russian Debutante’s Handbook), and Sarah DeLappe (Bodies Bodies Bodies).
