Multi-birth parents Jon and Kate Gosselin are in a legal battle regarding their kid’s funds. The case has been going on for a while, with Jon sticking to an allegation that he made and Kate maintaining her stand.

Jon claimed that Kate stole $100,000 from two of their children’s trust funds, but the reality star is maintaining her stand that she “borrowed” the money. In the legal documents obtained, the TLC star admitted to withdrawing $50,000 each from two of her children’s trust funds. She included that she made the withdrawal “to survive.”

The Kate Plus 8 star claimed that the funds she withdrew from Hannah and Colin’s accounts were used to “meet her and the children’s expenses.” That same year, Kate ended up purchasing a $750,000 lakeside home in North Carolina.

Jon described Kate’s action as “disgusting and morally wrong,” stating that parents are not supposed to withdraw from trust funds without permission. He also pointed out that parents should produce paperwork to show they will pay back.

According to the document obtained by The Sun, Kate claimed that she paid for the kids’ private school tuition from her pocket, so her eight kids owe her money. She noted:

How Is Jon’s Relationship With His Children?

The former couple share eight kids, 21-year-old twins Cara and Madelyn and 18-year-old sextuplets, Hannah, Collin, Joel, Alexis, Aaden, and Leah.  Page Six reports that Jon previously stated that he only has a relationship with Hannah and Collin. During an interview with ET, while celebrating the sextuplets turning 18, he stated:

Hannah and Collin have been living with Jon since 2021. However, Alexis, Leah, Aaden, and Joel live with Kate. Jon finally shared he feels “free” after ending a years-long custody battle with Kate.
