October’s Gangan Joker revealed that Kakegurui Author Homura Kawamoto and artist Kyo Yajima will launch a new fantasy manga. Homura Kawamoto’s new manga will be titled Yusha Party no Nimotsu Mochi (Porter of Heroes or The Hero Party’s Pack Mule). It will also be featured in the magazine’s next issue on October 21st. The magazine’s announcement also previewed an illustration and some story panels from the debut issue.
The Hero Party’s Pack Mule will have a color opening page and will appear on Gangan Joker’s November issue. The manga is currently described as;
Homura Kawamoto: Kakeguri and Other New Manga
Along with The Hero Party’s Pack Mule, Kawamoto recently launched another manga. Currently, Bakumatsu Gambling Barbaroi is available on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website. However, Toyotaka Haneda is drawing the art. Before that, he had also launched another manga for Akita Shoten’s Champion Red magazine for August 2021. This title from him is named Humanity’s Existence Depends on Love Gambling with Another World’s Princess.
Kawamoto and Toru Naomura first launched Kakeguri- Compulsive Gambler manga in Gagan Joker in March 2014. The manga inspired a television anime that ran from July to September 2017. The series then got a western release on Netflix in February 2018. The anime’s second season premiered in January 2019, with Netflix streaming it in June 2019. Homura Kawamoto’s Kakeguri manga also inspired a 10-episode live-action show that is also currently available on There is also a spinoff manga by Katsura Saiki titled Kakegurui Twin, which also has an anime spinoff of Netflix.
