If you’ve seen Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, or any of the various sequels you’ll know that going to a theme park filled with dinosaurs is a bad idea. Unfortunately, people never learn, as we are about to discover in Netflix’s Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous.

Developed by DreamWorks Animation for the streaming service, Camp Cretaceous will follow six teenagers as they embark on a summer camp adventure at Jurassic World and, as is usual, things start to go wrong.

Netflix has announced a release date of September 18 and have confirmed that all 8 episodes of Camp Cretaceous will launch on the same day, so there will be no need to ration yourself to one episode per week. They have also released the first trailer for the show, take a look:

Not only is there a trailer for Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, there’s also an official synopsis.

I am intrigued by this, but it does look a bit more cutesy than I like my Jurassic Park to look and that last line of the synopsis has me worried. I’ll reserve judgment until September though, as I may be pleasantly surprised.
