It doesn’t get much better than dinosaurs running wild and free, but the people behind the Jurassic World franchise have outdone themselves with the casting for the new film. Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and the lovely Jeff Goldblum will be reprising their roles as Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and the chest-bearing Dr. Ian Malcolm respectively.

Jurassic World 3 is the first time the trio has been together since the original Jurassic Park released in 1993. Sam Neil, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum will be starring in the film along with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, and Colin Trevorrow will be returning to direct.

According to a press release from Amblin Entertainment, “Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow return to executive produce the next chapter in one of the biggest franchises in the history of cinema. Producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley once again partner with Spielberg and Trevorrow for this installment.”. Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim Uprising) has joined the prehistoric team as a writer on the new film to further develop a story created by the writers behind Fallen Kingdom.

As of right now, little has been announced about the film’s plot, but it is sure to pick up after the wild ending of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The press release went on to say that Spielberg is continuing to be consulted on the development of “video games, toys, novels, animated LEGO shorts and theme parks.”.

According to the press release, “Jurassic World 3 will cause a global impact tremor in theaters on June 11, 2021.”. What a better way to celebrate the franchises 25th anniversary!
