Julian Sands’ family has been quiet about his search since he went missing on January 13. However, they recognize the efforts of searchers. English actor Julian Sands, known for his work in “24,” was noted as a missing hiker. When it happened, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s office claimed he was on Mt.Baldy California.
His wife, Evgenia Citkowitz, reported him missing at 7:30 pm on January 13 after an automobile was found near the mountain. Without wasting time, authorities looked into the report and initiated a search. Mara Rodriguez, a rep from the Sheriff’s office, admitted that Julian Sands’ search crew have been unable to proceed by foot due to the dangers.
Julian Sands’ family report involved law enforcement and their helicopters and drones, which are safer to move around the mountain. About four days after the missing report, authorities claimed it was unsuccessful and shared their doubts about finding him alive.
This unfortunate incident has caused the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to warn hikers, discouraging them from visiting Mt. Baldy. Many are hopeful that Julian Sands’ search crew will be successful. Celebrities, including Matthew Modine and Jon Cryer, have posted messages extending their best wishes.
Unfortunately, the search relies on air search as ground crews cannot access the area due to the avalanche risk. Still, that has not stopped the authorities from trying. Now they have employed the use of mobile phone forensics to find the actor’s possible location.
Eleven days post search, Julian Sands’ family reveals their first statement, showing that they recognize the authorities’ commitment.
As we enter day 11 of the search for Julian Sands on Mt. Baldy, we are reminded of the sheer determination & selflessness of all of the people who have aided in this search. We will continue to utilize the resources available to us. The family would like to share this statement: pic.twitter.com/owO2o97f16
