Marvel is previewing what readers can expect from this summer’s A.X.E. Judgment Day event. The publisher released details on how this cosmic event will impact various tie-in editions. It also shared a bit more on what can be expected from this comic event that puts the fate of the Marvel Universe in question.

What is A.X.E. Judgment Day?

From Kieron Gillen and Valerio Schiti, A.X.E. Judgment Day is an ambitious crossover event. It all kicks off when the Eternals set their sights on mutant-kind. The tension between the groups forces the Avengers to try and stop it from turning into an apocalyptic war. However, that is no easy feat as they are two of the strongest groups on the planet.

A.X.E. Judgment Day offers conclusions to several plot threads that have followed each group throughout the years. This includes the new immortality of the mutants, the truth behind the Eternals as a species, and the Avenger’s dealings with the Celestials. Clearly, A.X.E. Judgment Day is going to change the Marvel Universe forever.

What is Marvel Teasing?

Up first, Marvel released information concerning issues 3 and 4 of the A.X.E. Judgment Day main comic. These issues focus on the Celestial known as the Progenitor. This being rises to usher in the second act, where various heroes and villains face judgment. Of course, those accused must defend their past actions or face the consequences.

Next up is the A.X.E. Death to the Mutants #2 tie-in from Gillen and Guiu Villanova. This three-part miniseries continues to build on the mythology of the Eternals. With the hour of judgment upon the Eternals, have they done enough to be saved, or is it too late? Meanwhile, Fantastic Four #47 from David Pepose and Juan Cabal focuses on the Invisible Woman. As Reed Richards locks himself in the Think Tank to solve the A.X.E. Judgment Day issue, Oubliette Midas decides to attack. It is up to the Invisible Woman to save her family and the world.

In X-Men Red #6, Al Ewing and Stefano Caselli focus on Planet Arakko. The Eternals are waging war on the peaceful planet, and the Arakki must defend their land. Meanwhile, Immortal X-Men #6 puts Sebastian Shaw’s misdeeds on trial. Similarly, Avengers #60 forces Hawkeye to prove his usefulness in the world.
