If anyone is to portray Judith Susan Sheindlin Blum, professionally known as Judge Judy, in a biopic, it’s going to be Reese Witherspoon. In an interview with E! News, the American court show arbitrator disclosed that she would like the actress to play her on screen.

Sheindlin revealed that she and the Oscar-winning star are friends, and she gets her. Referring to the mother of three as a “fabulous lady,” the 80-year-old judge thinks Witherspoon is a great actress who can play the role perfectly.

The Guinness World Record holder presided over her eponymous court show for 25 seasons from September 16, 1996, to July 23, 2021. Judge Judy, Emmy Award-winner, may need a biopic to cover her interesting career and life, and Reese Witherspoon is perfect for the job.

Judge Judy May Not Like a Biopic, But She Feels Reese Witherspoon Will Do Great

In the 42-second clip with Judge Judy on E! News, she disclosed that she may not like a biopic; however, Reese Witherspoon will do great in one. Judge Judy is an American arbitration-based reality court show presided over by Judith Sheindlin.

She makes formal judgments on real-life small-claims disputes within a replicated courtroom set. The involved parties are made to sign an arbitration agreement that Sheindlin’s ruling will be final.

Judge Judy’s show started after Joseph Wapner was released from The People’s Court in May 1993. Sheindlin rang the producers of the program, including Ralph Edwards-Stu Billett Productions and Warner Bros. Television, afterward. She offered to replace Wapner.

The receptionist who picked up the phone dropped the call on her, asking if she was crazy. Fast forward to October 24, 1995, a talent agency reached out to Sheindlin. “Rebel Entertainment” asked if she would like to preside over her own courtroom series.

Judge Judy’s show went on to air for 25 seasons, and now Reese Witherspoon is the chosen one to portray her in a biopic. One with a nostalgic feeling.
