Jotun, the hand drawn action game set in the world of Norse mythology, is finally heading to consoles. The game will get a bit of a rename, becoming Jotun: Valhalla Edition for this release, which will hit PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U. No firm release date was given, but the developer promises a Summer 2016 release, so the wait shouldn’t be too long.

“Jotun is a hand-drawn action—exploration game set in Norse mythology. In Jotun, you play Thora, a Norse warrior who died an inglorious death and must prove herself to the Gods to enter Valhalla.” We previously reviewed the game, finding it to be both beautiful and well designed on the gameplay front. The hand-drawn art is truly astounding, and is something that must be seen in motion to really be appreciated. Our only main concern at the time was the length of the game, which was a bit short.

Even that minor criticism might be solve by Jotun: Valhalla Edition, which will add in a new game mode centered around the titular bosses. Valhalla Mode will feature the same massive enemies, but they will be “fiercer versions” of them. Considering how tough they were the first time around, this might be bad news for those who aren’t looking to break a few controllers.
