In a twist of events, more revelations have come to light as Josh Duggar blames his co-worker, Caleb Williams, as an accomplice in his child pornography case. This was revealed on Monday when Josh filed an appeal to overturn his sentence and disclosed that law enforcement failed to investigate the case thoroughly. Find out more about Josh Duggar’s appeal.

Josh’s Case And Conviction

Josh was accused of misconduct toward minors, prompting investigators to launch an investigation into him to prevent child exploitation. This led to a search at his car dealership, after which they found him guilty of receiving and possessing child pornography. Prosecutors also accused Josh of fondling girls under the age of 12. Eventually, the court sentenced Josh to 12 years and seven months imprisonment in May, a move his siblings lauded.

Josh Duggar’s Appeal

To overturn his sentencing, Josh blamed his co-worker for his involvement in the act. In addition, he alleged that the court prohibited his team from cross-examining Caleb in court, a move he termed unfair, prompting him to file an appeal.

Josh employed Caleb at the car dealership he owned and reportedly gave him access to his computer. He claimed Caleb regularly used the computer, which contained child porn images. Josh further disclosed that Williams sent him a text expressing his desire to”watch the lot.”

Caleb Was A Sex Offender

Page Six obtained court documents that revealed Caleb, who government agents failed to investigate earlier, is a convicted sex offender. He sexually assaulted a 16-year-old in Illinois in 2018 when he was 23. Caleb received a 16 months jail sentence and 18 months probation for his crime.

The government alleged that Josh only wanted to call Caleb in as a witness and put the blame on him because the latter was a sex offender.

Now that Josh Duggar blames his co-worker, one can only hope the court makes a quick decision on the case. That way, Josh can serve his sentence and return to his wife and children, who continue to stand with him through this difficult time.
