It is no news that one time California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Joseph Baena is a contestant on DWTS. Yesterday, he appeared on the big screen again and wowed viewers with his dance moves. This time, Joseph channeled his father as Hercules while moving his body at the DWTS Disney+ Night. Here are more details about what went down.

Joseph Channels His Dad’s Role As Hercules

On October 10, 2022, Dancing With The Stars staged its annual Disney Night Broadcast. As expected, many Pixar and Disney classics were represented in the performances. However, while different performers opted for the likes of Mary Poppins, The Simpsons, etc., Joseph chose something different.

While performing with his partner, Daniella Karagach, Joseph stepped into Arnold’s role as Hercules. The fitness model’s father portrayed the character in the 1970 film Hercules In New York. So, during DWTS Disney+ Night, Joseph and Daniella did a Hercules-themed Charleston Dance in the ballroom.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Son Talks About His Dad-Inspired Dance

Following his performance on the show, Joseph sat down for a chat with Page Six. During the interview, the dancer spoke about his dad-inspired dance and Arnold’s reaction. According to Joseph, when the idea first came up, he and his father laughed about it.

The star knew for a long time that Arnold appeared in the 1970 movie. However, it was not until the week of the performance that he “remembered” his dad played Hercules. So, Joseph thought it was best to channel Arnold’s role in the film.

While it may have seemed hilarious initially, Joseph said connecting with Arnold through the dance was fun. According to him, the Hercules-themed dance was one of his favorites.

Thankfully, it was all worth it, as the dance saw Joseph Baena and his DWTS partner stay away from the bottom two. The pair received a 28/40 score for their performance from the judges. DWTS Fans hope Joseph will bring more great dance steps in the coming weeks.
