Bandai Namco Entertainment streamed a new trailer showing Weather Report and Father Pucci as new DLC characters for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R. Both characters are from the recently ended Stone Ocean anime adaptation. While the characters hint at certain plot elements from Part 6, the trailer does not spoil the series as a whole.

The upcoming season pass will have four characters altogether. Risotto Nero from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind was the last launched DLC in October. Also, the game has added a new stage from the anime/manga.

The game launched for PC via Steam on September 1st. It was then launched for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on September 2nd. The game currently has a Standard Edition, a Digital Deluxe Edition, and a Collector’s Bundle. With the Digital Deluxe Edition, an Animation Special Event Color Set, a Season Pass, two exclusive costumes, and two days of early access to all Season Pass characters are included. The Collector’s Bundle includes a 10-inch Jolyne Cujoh statue and an Animation Special Event Color Set.

“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R”: The Joestar Legacy Continuing On

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R now expands the playable character roster from 41 to 40 characters. It also updates the game’s system and adds a tag-team “Support Attack” system. Currently,  All-Star Battle R includes characters from all 8 parts of Hirohiko Araki’s original manga, including the parts that have not been anime adapted.

Though the anime itself is finished right now, the franchise as a whole may take a hiatus from animating manga parts. The response comes from a Fukabolix podcast in Japan last month. When asked about the future of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, the team responded that there were no firm anime plans following Stone Ocean. Until recently, fans assumed that the anime would immediately jump toward Steel Ball Run after the conclusion of Stone Ocean. However, it is important to consider that it took at least a year for David Productions to confirm Part 6. Now, the period for confirmation could be even longer.

Both Weather Report and Pucci are available for free in the game. The final episodes of the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean anime are now available on Netflix.
