Sorry Finn fans, John Boyega, does not care to return to Star Wars. In an interview with SiriusXM’s Tell Me Everything With John Fugelsang (seen below), he revealed how he is feeling about the idea of going back to the sci-fi franchise.
A part of his stardom originated from the Star Wars sequels. At this point, John Boyega is looking toward a “path” of “versatility.” He looks around at his “allies” like Jamie Foxx, Joel Taylor, Teyonah Parris, and Viola Davis as a piece of this part of his career moving forward.
Meanwhile, his co-star Oscar Isaac is getting off his burnout as he is starting to be open to the idea of reprising his role as Poe. He sees a possibility of a return if there is a good story.

John Boyega found peace and said he is not “bitter” about how things turned out with the trilogy and the racism he faced. He referenced what his father told him “sometimes you are the guy,” but “sometimes you’re not the guy to get the blessing.” For now, he wants others to be accepted and supported.
Since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, John Boyega has found his footing in a post-Finn career. In 2021, he led Naked Singularity. He is about to lead Breaking, where he is a Veteran trying to get back into civilian life. He will join Foxx and Parris for They Cloned Tyrone, which releases later this year. On September 16, he joins Davis for The Woman King.
The days of space battles and lightsabers might be over, but the actor has plenty of projects lined up in the future. He will star in the sci-fi movie The Test with Payman Maadi (The Night Of). He will also star in the sequel to 2011’s Attack of the Block.
