Joe Pesci has signed on to the Peacock comedy series Bupkis. It was ordered to series last April. The half-hour comedy will star Pete Davidson and Edie Falco. The Peacock comedy series is loosely based on Davidson’s life. Joe Pesci will play Davidson’s grandfather in the series Bupkis. Falco will play his mother. This is only Joe Pesci’s second stint as a series regular besides the NBC series Half Nelson in 1985. Davidson is a co-writer and an executive producer of the project in addition to starring in it. Dave Sirus and Judah Miller are writers and executive producers of Bupkis. Miller is the showrunner for the project. Lorne Michaels, Andrew Singer, and Erin David under Broadway Video are all executive producers. Jason Orley is the director of the project and an executive producer. Universal Television is the studio for the series.
Joe Pesci Has a Long Established Film Career
The actor has played many memorable characters and notable roles from his collaboration with Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro. From Raging Bull to My Cousin Vinny, Joe Pesci has made a name for himself. His first film was The Death Collector, which impressed De Niro and Scorsese so much it got Pesci a role in Raging Bull. He went on to star in the Lethal Weapon films, Goodfellas, and The Irishman. He is an Academy Award-winning actor with a long list of impressive roles. Joe Pesci will now return to television with the Peacock comedy series Bupkis. Through Peacock, younger audiences will be able to see why people like Scorsese are such fans of his. No doubt Pesci will steal the show with his role in Bupkis. The Peacock comedy series will be the actor’s latest project. His last project was The Irishman.
Bupkis is set to premiere in 2023.
