American actor Jesse Lee Soffer will exit ‘Chicago P.D.’ after Season 10 this fall. Soffer plays a detective role as Jay Halstead. But he confirmed that he’ll be handing in his badge after his last season, set to premiere on the 21st of next month.

In his confirmation statement with Variety, the actor took out some time to thank his fans for their unwavering support over the past decade. He went on to thank Dick Wolf and everyone at Wolf Entertainment, castmates, NBC, Universal Television, etc.

The 1984-born tv star added that creating the hourly drama every week has been a labor of love by everyone, and he’ll always be proud of his time as Detective Jay Halstead.

Jesse Lee Soffer also confirmed his exit from Chicago P.D on his Twitter. However, his last episode for the show’s season 10 hasn’t been revealed. It’s also yet to be clarified how he’ll exit the show.

Why Soffer Will Exit Chicago P.D

Currently, there’s disclosure for the exact reason why Jesse Lee Soffer has to exit Chicago P.D. Although Newsweek has confirmed the actor’s representatives and NBC, no response has been gotten from either party.

This isn’t the first time that such cast-related changes will be made to the American drama series.

Gwen Sigan’s contribution has been significant since the ninth season after he took over from Rick Eid. Eid exited the show after getting a juicier role for the FBI and Law & Order restart.

Other cast members won’t exit Chicago P.D like Jesse Le Soffer. Patrick John Flueger, LaRoyce Hawkins, Spiridakos, Beghe, and others will be returning for the 10th season of the show.

Benjamin Levy Aguilar was promoted to a regular on the series. But he’ll maintain his character as Dante Torres.

Soffer will always be remembered on the show due to his prominence as Det. Halstead. This was proven in his participation in every episode of the show. No other project has been listed for the actor.

Fans are keeping their fingers crossed for the actor’s next line of action after his exit from Chicago P.D.
