Jeff Bezos thanked the showrunners and writers of Rings of Power
Jeff Bezos and the team are betting heavily on Rings of Power. While early reactions are positive, it has a lot to prove to fans. It also needs to prove itself to the company after spending over $460 million on its budget on its debut season, and the money spent on the rights, makes this the most expensive season in TV history.
The Rings of Power takes place in the Second Age, putting it thousands of years before the events of the original trilogy. It will star Morfydd Clark (Saint Maud), Nazanin Boniadi (Homeland), Peter Mullan (The Underground Railroad), Robert Aramayo (The King’s Man), Benjamin Walker (Jessica Jones), Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Arrow), and Ismael Cruz Cordova (The Undoing).
