Mortal Kombat X fans have been eagerly awaiting content from the Kombat Pass to become available and now Jason Voorhees finally has a release date.
The news comes as Mortal Kombat X developers, NetherRealm Studios as they were having their Kombat Kast show earlier today. On the show they announced that Jason Voorhees will release to Kombat Pass/Season Pass holders on May 5th and will follow the next week for everyone who is looking to purchase Jason Voorhees separately. Along with Jason Voorhees, players will also get that week new ‘scary’ skins for Meleena, Ermac, and Reptile. Again, if you wish to purchase these, it will be a week later on both platforms. Sorry guys, Season Pass holders get the advantage here.
It’s great to finally see a release date considering the compatability pack for the DLC released this past weekend. Future fighters to appear on the Kombat Pack include Predator, Tanya and Tremor. Hopefully there will be more DLC coming to Mortal Kombat X down the line and not a ‘Complete’ or ‘Ultimate’ edition like most fighting games tend to do.
Mortal Kombat X is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Check out our review of Mortal Kombat X and see what we thought of the bloody M rated fighter.
