On November 20, news broke that Power Rangers star Jason David Frank committed suicide while at a hotel with his wife, Tammie Frank. TMZ has unveiled new details about what transpired leading to his death at 49 years old.

Police confirmed that on Friday (November 18), the two checked into a hotel in Texas. While in the midst of getting a divorce, the couple had separate rooms. At some point, they were in Tammie’s room, where they got into an argument about an unknown subject. Staff came in to calm the situation, and they managed to succeed for some time. Later that night or early Saturday morning (police could not confirm which in the timeline), the couple had fought again, and he locked her out of his room.

Tammie Frank was worried, so she called the police. When they could not make contact with him, the police entered to discover that Jason David Frank had died of suicide as he hanged himself in the bathroom.

Details reveal Jason David Frank and his wife fought before his suicide

The suicide of Jason David Frank has especially hit fans who grew up with him as one of the original Power Rangers series as Tommy Oliver. He has stayed with the franchise throughout his career, from 1993 to modern installments, including a cameo in the 2017 movie. He had made the plan earlier this year to retire from the franchise. His death followed the death of another star for ’90s kids, Batman actor Kevin Conroy, who voiced the character in The Animated Series.

Upon the suicide of Jason David Frank, he is survived by his four children and wife, Tammie Frank.
