James Gunn is the new DC Studios co-CEO of the DC Universe, and he has cleared up some of the rumors regarding Wonder Woman and the franchise’s new “clean slate.” There have been many rumors and reports about the launch of DC Studios being led by James Gunn and Peter Safran and what the DCU’s vision is and how that will affect their favorite heroes going forward. Many DCU projects like Man of Steel 2 and Wonder Woman 3 were canceled, which was very upsetting for many fans. But be warned, there are many reports going around that are giving the wrong idea about the DCU. James Gunn has taken to Twitter to rule out some of the rumors.

James Gunn Exposes The Rumors

There was a recent report that circled the internet about Ezra Miller returning to continue his role as The Flash after their solo film while Wonder Woman isn’t going to be in any early DCU projects. There was much confusion about the DCU slate that recently happened. Fans didn’t waste any time reaching out and asking Gunn if the latest news was true or not. Referring to the Wonder Woman report, James Gunn said, “It’s not true.” However, when it came to Miller returning as The Flash, there wasn’t much confirmed one way or another about the topic, other than him not being aware of what was being reported about the actor and their June upcoming movies. DC Studios has stated that their slate would span over 8-10 years and some of those projects would be announced this month.

James Gunn has stated many times that other than himself and Safran, nobody else knows what their plans are for DCU, not in detail. It has all been kept very hush-hush for the time being before the announcements are made soon. There have only been a few confirmations over the last few months that are for certain, like Cavill’s Superman time being over and Wonder Woman 3 film being canceled and no longer moving forward. Gunn and Safran are overseeing movies, TV, and animation for DC, and there is no telling what is planned so far but Gunn did debunk a couple of rumors and wrong reports. Hopefully, we will see the announcements soon on what we can expect from DCU.
