Jada Pinkett and Sheree Zampino recently discussed being friends and their relationship dynamics. Speaking on their friendship, the ladies detailed how they were able to settle their differences and form a tight bond.

Pinkett, Will Smith‘s wife, and Zampino, his ex-wife, have become good friends. However, this was not always the case.

Jada Pinkett And Sheree Zampino Share Friendship Journey

On the October 19 episode of Red Table Talk episode, Jada Pinkett, 51, detailed the journey to becoming friends with her husband’s ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, 54. Sheree and Will Smith, 54, share a 29-year-old son Trey and were married for three years before splitting in 1995.

“We have developed a really nice sisterhood,” Pinkett said about her friendship with Zampino, admitting that “it hasn’t been easy along the way” and there were times where they “did have to fake it to make it.”

The Girls Trip star, who shares son Jaden, 24, and daughter Willow, 21, with Smith, noted that blending the family was quite challenging and went on to describe how she realized that Zampino would continue to be a part of her life.

Looking back, Jada Pinkett acknowledged that she overstepped some boundaries early on in their relationship, including the moment when she attempted to speak to Sheree Zampino about Trey’s behavior. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has, however, moved past the incident, noting that the Set it Off star meant no harm.

Pinkett recalled Zampino also crossing some boundaries, including the latter “marching” into and looking around the actor and actress’ master bedroom when she came on a visit. She also noted that they were “both very fiery” at the time.

How Did Jada And Sheree Become Friends?

According to Yahoo, Zampino stated that the fact that her ex’s current wife cared about and treated Trey well was part of the balm that healed their relationship.

According to Pinkett, they were also able to resolve their differences by communicating their feelings through a journal they passed between them.

As reported by E! News, Pinkett started her relationship with Smith in 1995, months after his divorce from Zampino. The couple got married two years later, and the two women became co-parents to Trey.

The Red Table Talk co-host, however, remarked during their conversation that she got involved with Smith too soon after his split from Zampino, adding that the latter did not have enough time to adjust to her new relationship with her ex-husband.
