It is now official; Johnny Knoxville and the gang are back with the now officially titled Jackass Forever, according to Loudwire. As someone who despises Mondays, this is news that can perk anyone up. Who needs coffee? I actually still do. Why Paramount and the Jackass gang didn’t go with Jackass 4ever or Jackass 4eva, or even Jackass Fourever is beyond me. That last one plays slightly better due to only having to add the letter “u.”
Also included with the official announcement of Jackass Forever are some set photos so we can start to imagine how bad the boys will be getting it this time around. Here is one now:
Jackass Fourever
As we all know by now, the original cast that started this whole ordeal back in October of 2000 will not return for Jackass Forever. Ryan Dunn passed away back in June of 2011 after hitting a tree going far too fast to survive. And most recently, Bam Margera was cut from the film due to issues with the essential show-runner of the Jackass franchise, Jeff Tremaine, over an internal dispute involving not only Tremaine but also Johnny Knoxville. Tremaine currently has a restraining order against Bam after Bam went on a tirade against Tremaine and Knoxville. Sad to see where the gang is currently, but that shouldn’t dampen the excitement for the trailer that will be debuting next week.
Even with Ryan Dun and Bam Margera missing from the 4th installment of the Jackass franchise, it’s sure to get us all out to go to the theatre and have some fun like we used to have. I remember watching all 3 of the theatrically-released Jackass movies in the theatre (I specify theatrical because there have been straight to DVD movies like Jackass 2.5 and Jackass 3.5, respectively.) Just another sign that things might just be getting back to some kind of normal. And hey, if watching a bunch of jackasses hurt each other in a movie theatre isn’t American, then I don’t know what is.
