The Game Award winner of 2021, It Takes Two, is reportedly coming to Nintendo Switch. The reliable leaker, Jeff Grubb, has expressed his belief that a port announcement will happen soon. Nintendo Direct will happen this month, and he says It Takes Two and the upcoming Zelda game will be shown off during the showcase.
It Takes Two Gets Nintendo Switch Port
Exclusives and eagerly anticipated ports of games are frequent features of the Nintendo Direct showcase. Rumors have been circulating about a Nintendo Direct possibly taking place this month. In his podcast, Jeff Grubb marked next week as the potential release date.
The long-rumored Nintendo Switch ports for Twilight Princess and Wind Waker HD will also be announced at this event. Nintendo Direct might be set for this month, maybe the week beginning September 12.
“It Takes Two will be coming to the Switch. That’s one of the games I’ve heard, yes, will be in the Direct,” Grubb said in the podcast. “There should be a lot in there, it should be pretty big, it should be much bigger than the series of stuff they did throughout the summer when they didn’t have a real general Direct, so it’s exciting.”
Also, another reliable leaker, ‘The Snitch,’ claimed that It Takes Two may be getting ported to the Switch. He shared some emojis in a recent Discord post, and each of them emojis is considered to be a hint at an iconic stage of It Takes Two.
Josef Fares, the head of Hazelight Studio, has already talked about his love of Nintendo. Thus it is very probable that the studio would be enthusiastic about a Switch port for It Takes Two.
It Takes Two is an action-adventure game combining elements of co-op play and platform game concepts. It was developed for split-screen multiplayer, so a gadget like the Nintendo Switch would be a perfect fit.
The game is available on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
