XCOM: Chimera Squad arrived as a surprise for the vast majority of people, as Firaxis Games made excellent use of cover to sneak up on us all with the announcement. Set after the events of the previous games, humanity has managed to survive the onslaught Overlords and has driven them away.

With many Chimera left behind, they must find a way to live in harmony, but not everyone feels that way. You will be taking control of a squad of humans and Chimera, a team of specialists who deal with violent rebels intent on maintaining the divide between the humans and aliens.

All squad members have their own skills, and the gameplay provides the same tactical and strategic challenge that you will know and love from previous entries in the series.

If you are wondering what platforms the game is available on, and if you will be able to play on PlayStation 4, or Xbox One, then we have some bad news for you. For now, at least, the game is only available on PC.

The game is very easy to run, so if you have a PC that is simply not your primary platform, then you may still be able to run and enjoy the game.

Firaxis have not talked about the idea of a port to consoles yet, but previous XCOM game did end up going to console to eventually, so you may just end up with some good news on that front in the future.
