Dungeons of Aether is a spin-off from multiplayer platform fighter Rivals of Aether. It features strategic turn-based battling and dungeon-crawling set in the same universe as Rivals of Aether. This may leave you wondering if Dungeons of Aether is multiplayer.

The answer is no—Dungeons of Aether is not multiplayer and only features single-player content. Therefore, you will not be able to explore various dungeons with a friend but instead must go alone. While no multiplayer may be disappointing, it will let all focus go to Dungeons of Aether’s single-player gameplay.

In Dungeons of Aether, you control one of four heroes making roguelite runs into various biomes in the story mode. You can try your luck and test your skills in the difficult Challenge Dungeons, which offer a more traditional roguelike experience.

But just because Dungeons of Aether is single-player only, it doesn’t mean you can’t play with a friend taking turns or simply watching. With its roguelite and roguelike mechanics, there is a nearly endless supply of content to experience!
