Terrain of Magical Expertise is a turn-based RPG. Typically these feature experience points and a leveling system. If you were wondering if Terrain of Magical Experience has an experience point system, the answer is no.
Characters do not gain experience and do not level up. Though you can alter their skills and abilities through other means. The reason for this is that TOME, the in-game universe of Terrain of Magical Expertise does not have an experience point system.
The primary method of boosting your character’s skills is through power-ups. To get new abilities, you must seek out dojos to unlock and equip them. This means that you are free to customize your characters how you see fit as you find more power-ups and earn new special abilities.
Since progression is not locked to levels, you can remove and equip power-ups as you see fit. You can also give whatever special ability to your character instead of having to wait for a certain level. A downside of not having experience means that there is little reward for combat. Defeating enemies only grants you money. You also don’t get the satisfaction of leveling up your character and seeing them grow as a result.
