The official Twitter account for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum retweeted a tweet featuring a video from The Nerd of the Rings with information. The YouTuber was invited to a Virtual event by Daedalic Entertainment, where he got a lot of inside knowledge and confirmed Gollum’s nature as a stealth game.

In his video, Nerd of the Rings confirms that Gollum kills an orc in the demo, but it’s not like other The Lord of the Rings games. There is no sword combat, and it takes Gollum a bit of time to kill the orc. Nerd of the Rings relays that LotR: Gollum feels true to the character of Gollum, so we shouldn’t expect real combat to be in the game.

According to Nerd of the Rings, one of the developers confirmed that the only time you are required to kill anything is in the tutorial. The entirety of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum can be played without killing anything, apart from the tutorial.
