The Halo series runs back to the original Halo: Combat Evolved which was released in 2001 and one of the most treasured aspects of this series is playing the campaign in co-op with a sibling or a friend. With the launch of Halo Infinite, players may be wondering if there is co-op in Halo Infinite’s campaign.

Unfortunately, there is not co-op in Halo Infinite’s campaign—yet anyway. Currently, the co-op will be not be included with Halo Infinite’s campaign at launch. Those looking forward to playing the campaign with a friend on launch day will sadly have to wait.

343 Industries plan to launch co-op in Halo Infinite’s campaign during its second season. The first season of Halo Infinite is scheduled to run until May 2022 so the soonest players can expect co-op would likely be June. What time in season 2 it will be added is unknown so it could be longer.

This is undoubtedly disappointing news, but fans can still enjoy the campaign solo. They can also hop into the free-to-play multiplayer now and play with friends if they want.
