Released on September 22, 2022, in early access, Slime Rancher 2 is the follow-up to the hit farming sim with a twist, Slime Rancher. It’s been five years since the launch of the original, and fans have been looking for a return to these magical lands. While they may not be returning to their old farms, players will be able to explore the reaches of a new set of islands and ranch all new slimes.
Can you play Slime Rancher 2 with a friend?
While it would be an absolute blast to play with friends, unfortunately, Slime Rancher 2 is a single-player experience. This can be confirmed when checking out the additional information on the Steam store page.
While it’s not a multiplayer title, it doesn’t mean that players can’t have fun playing with friends. This addictive farming sim with a twist is arguably best enjoyed when players can bounce ideas off one another about what crops to grow, how best to arrange their plots, and what slimes will yield the highest return on plorts. It’s easy to get into, difficult to master, and a compelling zen experience wrapped up in a colorful package.
