Halo 4 is set to arrive later this year on the Xbox 360, and Microsoft may be looking even longer term with the franchise.  According to Fusible, Microsoft has claimed ownership of the domain names for Halo 7, Halo 8, and Halo 9.  Microsoft hasn’t been shy about their intentions to continue the franchise after Halo 4.  They’ve already mention Halo 5 and Halo 6 as part of the second trilogy in the Halo franchise.

These new domains could point to the company planning even more Halo down the road into future generations.  Last month, Microsoft had announced that they were looking for graphics developers that could shape the next generation of Halo titles and their game visuals at 343 Industries.

Whatever the case with these new domains, you won’t be getting a rest from the Halo franchise going forward.  The Xbox brand’s biggest title is here to stay, and we may be seeing more of it than ever before.

Earlier today, Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn saw another video released ahead of its full cinematic reveal on October 5th.
