The critically acclaimed iOS and Android interactive story is available now on more platforms. Florence, from the lead designer of Monument Valley, is out now on Nintendo Switch, Steam and more.

In the game, you play as Florence Yeoh, a young woman who feels stuck in her boring day job. Soon she meets Krish, a cello player and they begin a whirlwind relationship. The game follows them as they grow together as a couple, face complications and grow apart.

The gameplay of Florence closely resembles that of WarioWare, going through different micro puzzles like building a speech bubble to talk to someone or going through your morning routine.

Florence is a game you can complete in an afternoon, but its impact will stay with you longer. It is a new take on a love story, but its interactivity makes you connect deeper with the characters and what they are going through.

What worked best about Florence, besides its story, is how the gameplay worked on a smartphone. Shaking to make the image appear on a polaroid or assembling puzzle pieces plays well on a phone, so the transition to joystick may be something to get used to.

Florence is more of an interactive story than a game, but still is an experience like no other. It is a deeply personal story about falling in love and growing as a person.

Florence is available now, for Switch, Steam, GOG and the Mac App Store for $5.99. As a bonus, the Steam version also comes with the original soundtrack.
