Browsing the Internet in your sleep may seem like a far-fetched idea. However, in video games, anything is possible. No More Robots and Tendershoot proved this in 2019 when they released Hypnospace Outlaw, a sci-fi, ’90s Internet simulator/adventure game. No More Robots, Tendershoot, and Noble Robot are preparing to launch a Hypnospace Outlaw sequel and a spinoff game. No More Robots posted the announcement on their YouTube channel earlier today.

Dreamsettler is the sequel to Hypnospace Outlaw. Like the first game, Dreamsettler takes place in a virtual reality Internet accessible only by falling asleep. According to an official press release, the game is an early 2000s Internet simulator that puts the player in the shoes of a private investigator:

Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer, the Hypnospace Outlaw spinoff game

As today’s announcement video revealed, one of Hypnospace Outlaw‘s characters has come to life. Sort of. Along with Dreamsettler, No More Robots announced Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer. This is a first-person boomer shooter canonically developed by the character Zane Lofton. According to today’s press release:

But soon you’ll be unravelling conspiracy theories and dabbling with a strange and endearing cast of characters, as your role in this online plot gets deeper and deeper, eventually determining the very future of sleeptime computing.”

There is no word yet on a release date, but Dreamsettler and Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer is coming to PC and consoles.
