Come to think of it, it’s surprising that Ubisoft hasn’t put out a battle royale game before. They’ve been all the craze these past few years and while I’ve never truly gotten into them, I understand that’s a huge market. There’s so much value, and the fact that Ubisoft hasn’t taken it is shocking. That all changes today, though. Ubisoft has revealed their new game this morning, known as Hyper Scape. It’s a first-person battle royale game available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with next gen versions coming later. With this announcement, the team has released a premiere trailer showing everything off.

Hyper Scape puts you in the shoes of a citizen of Neo Arcadia. You’re shoved into a massive arena filled with 99 other players, all vying for their chance at stardom. Unlike other battle royales though, Hyper Scape takes place entirely in a virtual world. You have guns you can summon, different abilities you can cast, and a ton of other unique little surprises. The game looks to emphasize fast-paced, exciting combat that has you on your toes. The initial gameplay shown off looks interesting, so we’ll have to see how that pans out in the coming months.

Your main question right now is probably “when can I play it?”. You can begin playing today if you’re lucky enough. Ubisoft is holding an event with Twitch where you can get access to the game through drops. Link your Twitch and Uplay accounts, then tune into your favorite Twitch streamer. By simply watching any stream with the “Drops Enabled” button below it, you’re putting yourself in for a chance at getting a code for the PC technical test. It’s a random chance though, so be ready to have the stream up for a while. In the meantime, you can watch the streams and gauge for yourself what you think of the game so far.

If you’d like more information, you can follow them through their social media. With that, we’d love to hear your initial impressions regarding Hyper Scape.
