Ubisoft announced Hyper Scape Season 3: Shadow Rising is coming on March 11. The update will be available on all major platforms. Season 3 includes some new hacks, story elements, vanity items as well as an all-revamped map.

The Ubisoft press release reads:

Hyper Scape: Season 3

Despite Prisma Dimensions’ assurances that everything is under control, strange anomalies continue to plague Neo Arcadia. The mysterious floating structures that appeared after the Blackout have coalesced into a temple that floats high above the city skyline. Basilisk is the first contender to find a way up to it.”

“Inside, Basilisk confronts a primal force of the Hyper Scape: Tower. Tower claims it (he?) has lost pieces of himself and charges Basilisk with recovering them in exchange for power and glory. Basilisk recruits a new face, the roguish hacker Huo Shu, to raid Prisma HQ for one of these Fragments. Meanwhile, Prisma’s own forces, under the cold hand of Nikita and his new enforcer, Bai Hu, prepare to eradicate these anomalies in any way they can.”

This season, players will be able to explore the story and the lore of Shadow Rising by collecting Memory Shards each week. For all you crazy about Hyper Scape lore, the aforementioned Basilisk and Tower will be featured in the all-new Issue 3 of Hyper Scape Comics.

The big thing with Season 3 is surely the mixed Neo Arcadia 2.0. It’s supposed to serve as a challenge to veteran players and in doing so level the playing field for newcomers.

Some of the new features include:

  • 2D Hub Flow in the main menu (optimized to offer a much faster and more interactive experience, allowing players to view their full squad with their selected outfits and use the Locker and Shop, all while matchmaking. Less time waiting between games means more chances to win the crown!)

New Game Modes:

  • Crown Rush Squad – 60 players, ranked
  • Crown Rush Solo – 60 players, unranked
  • Team Deathmatch 6v6, unranked

In other news, a Pokemon Presentation is going live tomorrow on YouTube and an all-new Halo TV series is debuting in 2022.
