While they aren’t generally my cup of tea, you have to appreciate some of the classic rhythm games out there that have captured the hearts of many. On one hand, you have games as old as time such as Rock Band and Guitar Hero, and on the other are modern greats such as both Osu and BPM: Bullets Per Minute. Love it or hate it, most love clicking or tapping buttons to a beat and scoring those elusive perfect scores. Today’s game is yet another one of these greats, combining the heart-pounding action of rhythm games with the deep storylines of RPGs. That game is Infinite Guitars from both Humble Games and Nikko Nikko, which debuted an announcement trailer that you can find below!

The Rhythms of Resistance

Set in a world devastated by mech war (not the opening you expected, is it?), Infinite Guitars follows a small band as they find their resistance against their oppressors through the power of music. Travel across this ruined world as you encounter mech after mech and tap to the beat to deal devastating blows to your foes. All of this in a unique anime art style, atmospheric world, and soundtrack that’s more than worth jamming out to. What more could you ask for from a rhythm game?

While the Nikko Nikko and Humble Games teams haven’t attached a release window to Infinite Guitars, you can head over to the Steam page to wishlist. It also lists features not even mentioned here, such as the game’s electrifying Guitar Solos to deal massive damage to your foes alongside the ability to choose your battles. That’s right, that means no random battles. And don’t forget the stylish UI, part of which you can catch a glimpse of through the above trailer.
